Today, we encourage you to ask yourself this tough question: Am I where I need to be? If you’re not reaching your goals, it may be because of the people you surround yourself with, and that’s what we’re here to talk about today. Are the people you spend the most time with lifting you up or holding you back?

Many people with big hearts say that they have people in their lives who are holding them back, but they want to stay connected with them to lift them up. We still encourage you to lift people up, of course! However, the top five people who you spend the most time with need to be lifting you up. Then you’ll be able to pour into other people.

One objection we hear frequently is that someone doesn’t know anyone who can lift them up. However, we know that it is very possible to find people like that. We just did that recently by going on a trip to meet other agents! For example, you may have to leave the state, but even if you have to travel, the benefits are well worth it.

“You need to decide to develop beneficial relationships and be influenced by the right people.”

In addition, one great thing about connecting with people in these times is that technology can be a big help. You can watch people’s YouTube videos or listen to their podcasts, and that can be one way they pour into you.

The tough part about implementing this is that you may need to cut someone. This doesn’t mean you need to cut them out of your life completely, but they may be much more influential in your life than they should be. It can be hard to let go a little bit, but the truth is that you need to prioritize relationships that influence you positively.

If you are surrounding yourself with the wrong people, only you can make a change. You need to decide to develop beneficial relationships and be influenced by the right people. Then you will be much more likely to reach your goals. If you have any questions about this, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can call or email us anytime, and we would be happy to help you.
